I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Statistics and have been a math and physics teacher since 2008. I have education certifications in both physics and math and work as a teacher at the Interactive College of Technology as well as at KSU. It is my belief that all students have the ability to learn if the teacher is willing to discover the learning style of each pupil and then create an individualized educational experience. When a topic is presented in a way that is accessible to a student, the student will invariably develop an interest and perhaps even a passion for the topic. I have tutored a wide variety of ages and have had students in elementary, middle, and high school as well as students in college. The subjects I have covered have been primarily math and science related and I have learned over the years the importance of making these subjects relatable on a personal level for each of my students. I believe to truly master math and science it is necessary for students to understand them algebraically, graphically, pictorially, and verbally. Once this has been achieved a true mastery of the topic occurs.
